Minimally Invasive Procedure Specialists
Image-Guided Care for Complex Vascular Conditions
Colorado's trusted team of interventional radiologists, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants — delivering minimally invasive treatments that restore quality of life through procedures performed via incisions the size of an IV.
What We Treat
Comprehensive Interventional Care
Uterine Fibroid Embolization
A non-surgical, image-guided alternative to hysterectomy for symptomatic fibroids. Most patients return to normal activities within a week.
Learn MorePelvic Congestion Syndrome
Diagnosis and treatment for chronic pelvic pain caused by faulty veins — often missed by other specialties. Embolization addresses the underlying cause.
Learn MoreVaricose & Spider Vein Treatment
Ablation, sclerotherapy, and surface treatments performed in-office. Cosmetic and medical relief with little to no downtime.
Learn MoreDVT & Clot Management
Advanced thrombolysis and venous stenting for acute and chronic deep vein thrombosis, including May-Thurner syndrome.
Learn MoreVaricocele Embolization
An outpatient procedure for enlarged scrotal veins linked to discomfort and fertility issues — no surgical incisions needed.
Learn MoreDiagnostic Vascular Imaging
High-resolution venography and ultrasound to identify the venous source of pelvic, leg, and abdominal symptoms.
Learn MoreThe MIPS Difference
Compassionate, Evidence-Based, Minimally Invasive
Image-Guided Precision
Procedures performed through pin-sized incisions using real-time imaging — preserving healthy tissue and shortening recovery.

Varicose Veins
Closure, ablation, and phlebectomy for symptomatic surface and saphenous vein disease.
Spider Veins
Sclerotherapy and surface treatments for cosmetic and symptomatic relief.

FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to questions we hear from new patients.
Still Have Questions? What is interventional radiology?
Interventional radiology (IR) is a medical specialty that uses real-time imaging — ultrasound, fluoroscopy, CT — to guide tiny instruments through small incisions to diagnose and treat disease. IR procedures often replace traditional open surgery and offer shorter recovery.
Do I need a referral to be seen?
Not always — many patients self-refer. However, your insurance may require a referral or pre-authorization for certain procedures. Our team will help you navigate this when you call.
Is my procedure performed in a hospital?
Most of our procedures are performed in our on-site outpatient suite in Highlands Ranch. You go home the same day with detailed recovery instructions.
What insurance do you accept?
We work with most major commercial insurance plans and Medicare. Please contact our billing team to verify benefits for your specific procedure.
How long is recovery?
It varies by procedure, but most patients return to normal activities within a few days. Uterine fibroid embolization typically requires about a week of rest.
Do you treat patients from outside Colorado?
Yes. We routinely care for patients traveling from across the United States and internationally. Our team coordinates virtual consults and travel logistics.
